MONO ("we", "the app") is a free, ad-free music discovery app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can remove it.
We do not run advertising, do not use analytics or crash-tracking SDKs, and do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or profiling.
MONO is built and operated by Roshan Adith Srinivas (ABN 37 860 170 376), a sole trader based in Australia. For data protection purposes, we are the controller of the personal data described below. The best way to reach us is monoapp.support@gmail.com — we answer privacy requests at that address.
drive.readonly) to list and stream your own audio files. This connection is entirely on-device: your Drive access tokens are never sent to or stored on our servers, and we never access files beyond what's needed to list and play your own audio. Each service's own privacy policy governs data you exchange directly with it.
MONO's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Concretely, that means:
Account data (your email) and cloud library data (likes and playlists) are stored by Google Firebase and Firestore on Google's servers, which may be located in the United States or other countries outside where you live. Where you are in the UK or EEA, these transfers rely on Google's Standard Contractual Clauses. Everything else — downloads, play history, stations, folder tags, and your Drive connection — stays on your device.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app: open the You tab → Delete account. This removes:
You can also disconnect Google Drive independently at any time from the My Cloud tab, without deleting your account.
Already uninstalled the app? Email monoapp.support@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and we'll delete your account and data. We aim to do this within 30 days and will confirm by email when it's done.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it — and the app already does the last one instantly. Depending on your country you may also have the right to object to processing, ask us to restrict it, receive your data in a portable form, or complain to your local data protection authority.
Our legal bases for processing, where the UK or EU GDPR applies: performing our agreement with you (running your account and syncing your library), your consent (connecting Google Drive, which you can withdraw at any time by disconnecting), and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and answering support requests.
If you're in California, note that we do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We won't discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
We're based in Australia and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. To make any request, email monoapp.support@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled it, Australian users can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, and users elsewhere can complain to their local data protection authority.
MONO is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
If this policy changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
